You might’ve had braces when you were younger, and now that you have your own child, you may think they’ll need them as well. Straightening out their smile before they get older can help them avoid any issues that come with misalignment! But many parents wonder when the right time is to start their kid\u2019s pediatric orthodontic journey<\/a>. Keep reading to learn four signs that mean they may benefit now!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

1.)  They Have Noticeably Misaligned Teeth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Probably the most obvious sign that your child can benefit from braces is if you see their teeth are crooked or crowded. Any malocclusions, such as an overbite or underbite, can cause some discomfort or make them feel self-conscious about showing off their smile. Orthodontic treatment can help fix these problems and help give them some confidence in their grin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.)  Trouble with Biting and Chewing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When your child eats, do you see that they have some issues when it comes to biting and chewing through their favorite foods?
